Maximum Waterfowling

Maximum Waterfowling has been successfully guiding waterfowl hunts for 31 years. Over the years we have acquired prime hunting locations from Fort Laramie, Wyoming to Bridgeport, Nebraska with many places in between along with goose pits around Springer Reservoir and Hawk Springs Reservoir in Goshen County, Wyoming. We take pride in giving our guests the best experience possible and plan to continue this for many years to come! All of our goose pits and blinds are hand built to provide the best possible comfort level, concealment, and space. We are based out of Hawk Springs, Wyoming.

Gary Kirchhefer

Outfitter Gary Kirchhefer, born and raised in south east Wyoming, started hunting at a very young age. While working full time as a teenager, he hunted whenever he had the opportunity. At the age of 17 Gary had the chance to take a few of his father’s friends hunting, a few times of year for fun. After many successful hunts, word of mouth began to spread about the quality of the hunting. A year or two after, Gary started to get busier and this is when Maximum Waterfowling took off. Gary now has been guiding goose and duck hunting trips on the Wyoming and Nebraska border for over 30 years. He has an exceptionally good work ethic, which continuously yields him results day in and day out.

David Fox

Maximum Waterfowling guide, David Fox, has been fascinated by waterfowl since a young age. After tagging along with his father on his first duck hunting experience at age 5, red rider BB gun in hand, David was hooked. After 22 years of a life dedicated to hunting and baseball, including 4 years of college and 2 years of professional baseball, David hung up his cleats, grabbed his muck boots, and dedicated his time to chasing the dream of being a full time guide. Fueled by his passion for the outdoors, with a history of teamwork, David says he is, “right where he needs to be” here at Maximum Waterfowling. This will be David’s 7th year guiding waterfowl hunters and 2nd year with Maximum. “Working with Gary has been a true blessing for me, not only is Gary professional and extremely successful at what he does, but he also has a huge heart and is a great friend. Out of the past 6 years of guiding hunts, I enjoyed the 2017-18 waterfowl season the most and look forward to many years to come! It takes a lot of hard work to run a successful business, especially in this industry nowadays, and I am proud to say that I work for someone like Gary. Dedication, teamwork, honesty, integrity, and success fuel what we do here and I feel right at home”.
